THE ROBINSONS MALLS GEAR up for Christmas by bringing Nickelodeon’s cute and well-loved SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends as a treat to shoppers.

“We’ve featured the loveable characters of Disney and Cartoon Network. Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob, we’re sure, will be another big hit with the kids,” says Nilo Mapa, Robinsons Malls’ general manager.

In line with the cartoon theme, animated Christmas displays will brighten up all Robinsons malls. The theme will be carried in various displays in the canopies, atriums and outdoor settings. All mall displays will feature SpongeBob and his best bud Patrick Starfish, and Squidward.

Carrying the Spongebob theme in outdoor displays are Robinsons Place Novaliches, Robinsons Starmills Pampanga, Robinsons Metroeast in Pasig, Robinsons Galleria and Robinsons Place Dasmariñas.

Robinsons Place Imus in Cavite will have a “cosmic holiday decor” display at its canopy, while Robinsons Place Sta. Rosa will feature animation. Place Pioneer will have laser lights. The outdoor displays will be inaugurated today (Robinsons Place Novaliches), Nov. 25 (Robinsons Place Imus) and Nov. 26 (Robinsons Starmills Pampanga). Holiday musical As an added attraction, a Christmas musical featuring the Nickelodeon stars will be staged in selected Robinsons malls. This will be the very first Christmas musical of SpongeBob and his friends in the Philippines. Dubbed “SpongeBob SquarePants Christmas Wish,” the show will be premiered at 4 p.m., Nov. 26, at Robinsons Metro East’s Activity Area. “As in the past, Robinsons aims to offer worthwhile entertainment for the whole family,” says Eunice Gonzalez, Robinsons Mall’s advertising and promotions director. The show will then be brought to Robinsons Place Pioneer, 2 p.m and 4 p.m., Nov. 27; Robinsons Place Angeles, 2 p.m., Dec. 2; Robinsons Place Imus, 4 p.m., Dec. 3; Robinsons Place Lipa, 4 p.m., Dec. 4; Robinsons Place Sta. Rosa, 4 p.m., Dec. 10; Robinsons Place Novaliches, 4 p.m., Dec. 11; Robinsons Galleria, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., Dec. 16; Robinsons Place Manila, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., Dec. 17; and Robinsons Starmills Pampanga, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., Dec. 18. Of course, aside from these shows, SpongeBob, Patrick Starfish and Squidward will also visit their fans in Robinsons Place Cebu on Nov. 20, Robinsons Place Bacolod on Nov. 28, Robinsons Place Dasmariñas on Dec. 9 and Robinsons Place Iloilo on Dec. 20. Meet and Greet sessions will be at 4 p.m. at the malls’ respective activity areas.
