PROPERTY DEVELOPER RLC EXPANDS ITS LIPA & DASMA MALLS, OPENS ITS SECOND MALL IN MANILA.

Robinsons Land Corporation, one of the country’s leading developers of shopping centers, focuses on expansion and redevelopment of two shopping malls in Southern Luzon: Robinsons Place Lipa in Batangas and Robinsons Place Damariñas in Cavite. A new mall is also expected to rise at the Manila Gas Property on the last quarter of next year.

ROBINSONS PLACE LIPA OFFERS NEW MALL ATTRACTIONS

Robinsons Malls’ general manager Nilo Mapa shares that the expansion was due to the very warm reception of the Lipeños to Robinsons. “With the opening of the expansion, Robinsons hopes to better serve the city of Lipa by forming micro-community centers. We’d like to invite more tenants to provide services and amenities that will improve and uplift the quality of life of the city’s residents and of nearby towns as well. We want to enrich lives and enhance the community,” adds Mr. Mapa.

Robinsons Place Lipa, located along J.P. Laurel National Highway now has a 3-level building annex adjacent to the existing mall, which increases the gross floor area of the whole mall approximately 60,000 square meters. The expansion includes an additional access point coming from San Carlos Road.

The new wing will house a bigger Activity Area for mall shows and events, a 2-level carousel at the atrium where kids can ride and have their photographs taken, an al fresco strip, plus a variety of shops, dining outlets, service and amusement centers that would cater to the discriminating taste of the Lipeños.

Moreover, the mall will be home to many “firsts” such as Teletech--the first call center in the province, the first Toys R Us to open in the Southern Luzon, the biggest Timezone in the region, the first to have a multi-specialty clinic or medical art facility outside of a hospital in the whole Batangas area, and the first mall in Lipa to adopt the al fresco dining format.

EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS AT ROBINSONS PLACE DASMARIÑAS

Not to be outdone, Robinsons Place Dasmariñas along Aguinaldo Highway corner Governors Drive in Dasmariñas, Cavite is bustling with new and exciting developments. “We want to provide mall-goers with more varied choices for shopping and dining,” says Mr. Mapa. He also stresses the importance of upgrading facilities and tenant mix and creating new points of interest within the mall so as to address the changing needs of the market.

The expansion will bring about a bigger, 2-level Robinsons Department Store, bigger Handyman Do-It-Best Center hardware and Robinsons Supermarket. More parking slots will also be available at the new basement parking area. The expansion which consists of 3 floors will house popular names such as National Bookstore, Bench, Rusty Lopez, among others as well as new players and local entrepreneurs.

DINE IN PLEASURABLE SETTINGS: AN INVITE TO THE NEWEST GIMMICK PLACE AT ROBINSONS PLACE DASMARINAS

A cluster of popular restaurants and bistros are expected to open soon at Terraza Dasma, affording locals with a new place to dine and hang out with family and friends. Terraza Dasma, which is part of the expansion of Robinsons Place Dasmariñas, is also expected to liven up the nightlife scene with the opening of Dencio’s Mi-Ga Korean Restaurant, Mr. Choi Kitchen, Mang Inasal, Andok’s Litson Restaurant and Star Search Internet Café.

RLC GEARS UP FOR SECOND MALL IN MANILA.

Having acquired the Manila Gas property recently, RLC is now finalizing exciting concepts for another mixed-use complex. RLC’s high rise buildings division has successfully launched Otis 888, an upscale property and Feng Shui-guided townhouse development located along Otis Road. The commercial centers division, on the other hand, is working on building a community mall, which will serve the regular needs of not only the future residents of these townhomes but also those of nearby districts Pandacan, Paco, Sta. Ana, San Miguel, Malate, Nagtahan and portions of Makati. The mall will have a gross floor area of 34,000 square meters and will consist of 5 floors. Anchored by Robinsons Supermarket, the mall will also house Handyman Do-It–Best, Robinsons Appliances, a bookstore, drug store, Bingo & amusement center, fitness center & health & beauty outlets, food establishments, banking & ATM centers, and many more. Secured parking areas are assigned at the basement level. This exciting project is expected to be completed on the last quarter of 2007.

Robinsons Place Lipa located along J.P. Laurel National Highway, Lipa, Batangas, now has a 3-level building annex, which increases the total gross floor area of the mall to approximately 60,000 square meters.

Robinsons Place Lipa is the first mall in the whole city to adopt the al fresco dining format.

Robinsons Place Damariñas’ expansion consists of 3 floors and will house a bigger Robinsons Department Store, Handyman Do-It-Best and Robinsons Supermarket, plus a variety of shops and specialty stores.

Terraza Dasma, situated at the corner of Governors Drive and Aguinaldo Highway in Dasmariñas, Cavite, is a 2-level lifestyle center which forms part of the mall expansion.

Terraza Dasma affords Caviteños with a new and hip place to dine and hang out with family and friends.

RLC opens its 2nd mall in Manila. Located at the former Manila Gas property, this community mall, adjacent to a townhouse development, will be anchored by Robinsons Supermarket and will serve the regular needs of residents from nearby districts Pandacan, Paco, Sta. Ana, San Miguel, Malate, Nagtahan and portions of Makati.
