Gokongwei-owned Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is embarking on a two-month international roadshow that will roll through several European countries, targeting overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) for the company’s first residential development project south of Manila.

Danilo E. Ignacio, general manager for RLC’s high-rise buildings division, said the company will start marketing the first phase of Woodsville, a 9.3-hectare residential community in Merville, Parañaque City.

The first phase, known as Woodsville Viverde Mansions, involves the development of nine to 12-story mid-rise condominium buildings in a three-hectare property. Master-planned for 14 buildings, this project is intended for start-up families and OFWs.

Construction of the first building, which will house 72 units, is slated in the last quarter of the year and will be ready for turnover by December 2007. The second building, on the other hand, will consist of 96 units.

Each floor will have eight to 12 units, priced at between P2 million to P3 million each, Ignacio said.

"We feel this product will be an ideal house for start-up families and OFWs looking for an attractive address that is close to commercial business districts," he said.

The roadshow will kick off on Sept. 15 and will extend up to late November.

Ignacio said studies conducted by the company showed that the biggest demand for this type of project came from Milan in Italy.

The remaining six hectares of the nine-hectare property will be converted into townhouses in the range of P3 million to P4 million, and duplex apartments worth between P5 million to P6 million each, Ignacio said.

The townhouse component of the project will be called Prima Woodsville Manor while the duplex project will be named Woodsville 888 Residences.

Strategically situated between Bicutan and Nichols interchange, Woodsville is one of the few properties of such size close to the border of two major central business districts — Makati and Bonifacio Global City.

Ignacio said each residential enclave is envisioned to be a secured stand alone community with its own unique brand of amenities, design and concept — all with generous portion of greeneries and foliage areas to experience."

RLC is the flagship property development arm of the JG Summit Holdings Inc., one of the country’s largest conglomerates with diverse interests in branded consumers foods, agro-industrial and commodity food products, textile, telecommunications, petrochemicals, air transportation and financial services.
