RLC starts 5th Ortigas office bldg to keep up with demand Robinsons Land Corporation is further cementing its lead as the biggest and most preferred corporate landlord in the Ortigas area with the start of the construction of its fifth office building in the Central Business District.
The property unit of the Gokongwei group broke ground yesterday for Cyberscape Gamma, a 37-storey office development, located along Topaz and Ruby roads and right beside RLC’s Cyberscape Beta.
RLC’s general manager for office buildings division Faraday D. Go said Cyberscape Gamma will add about 45,000 square meters of gross leasable area to the company’s portfolio and bring its gross leasable space in the Ortigas CBD to over 147,000 sqm.
The firm’s Ortigas office buildings consist of Robinsons Equitable Tower, Cyberscape Alpha, Cyberscape Beta and Galleria Corporate Center.
“We are starting the construction of Cyberscape Gamma in response to strong demand for our office spaces in the Ortigas CBD.” said Go.
Cyberscape Gamma will have a total of 28 office floors featuring large floor plates of about 1,500 square meters. It will have ample parking spaces at the basement and podium parking floors.
The building will also have various retail and dining compliments as well as some service shops at the ground and mezzanine floors to serve the needs of tenants as well as nearby residents and offices. Expected to serve the building tenants of both Cyberscape Beta and Cyberscape Gamma are Toby’s Estate, a popular Australian coffee franchise, 24/7 convenience store Mini Stop, Korean restaurant Golmokkil, Dells Food Hall and Country Style.
Since the building will be registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, Go said Cyberscape Gamma is suited for Offshoring and Outsourcing firms as well as local and multinational companies.
Cyberscape Gamma will be interconnected to Cyberscape Beta at the ground and mezzanine floors which also makes it an ideal expansion site for current tenants of Cyberscape Beta who may need additional space for their growing operations. Among Cyberscape Beta’s current tenants are Acquire BPO, TPG Telecom Australia, MicroSourcing, SAP Philippines, Teledirect Telecommerce (Philippines) Inc., The Dairy Farm Co. Ltd., and Canon Business Process Services.
