In celebration of its 1st anniversary, Robinsons Malls The Gift of Change, The Gift of Sight (TGOS) recently held 2 The Gift of Sight activities in Novaliches and Malabon on January 21 and February 16, respectively.
With the help of partnerships with Centro Escolar University (CEU) – College of Optometry and Manila Central University (MCU) – College of Optometry, TGOS was able to provide 842 pairs of prescription eyeglasses and give free eye examinations to a total of 875 indigent residents nearby Robinsons Novaliches and Robinsons Town Mall Malabon. Dr. Caroline Ferrer of Manila Central University also gave a lecture to further educate beneficiaries on proper eyesight care.
Aiming to bring better vision to those who need it the most, The Gift of Sight is now able to help over 2,600 people since its launch in February of last year. “We would like to encourage more people to support the campaign by donating their change to the The Gift of Sight coin banks found all over Robinsons malls across the country. With campaigns like The Gift of Sight, we hope to let people know that a little goes a long way. Everyone can take part in helping other people live quality lives,” stated Roseann Coscolluela-Villegas, Director for Public Relations of Robinsons Land Corporation.
Robinsons Malls The Gift of Change is a coin bank collection campaign that is also able to help continuously support 23 underserved communities all over the Philippines with various relief operations and projects including Pailaw sa Barangay, Binyagang Bayan and Libreng Bakuna.
