Change up your commute with Robinsons Place Manila’s ETRIKES sa Kamaynilaan

To cater the needs of its shoppers and the commuting public, Robinsons Place Manila in partnership with the Local Government of Manila City recently launched its “ETRIKES sa Kamaynilaan” services that the general public can use as an additional mode of transportation.

There will be ten (10) e-trikes deployed daily in the following location of the mall’s vicinity to cover adjacent routes like Adriatico, Sta. Monica, and Midtown Driveway Area from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Other routes covered by these e-trikes are any point in Manila like  the busy districts of Ermita, Malate, Binondo, Tondo, Divisoria, Otis, Paco, Sta. Ana, San Andres, Sta. Mesa, Vito Cruz, and other nearby locations as long as it is within the boundary of the city. And as a safety measure, wearing of face shields and face masks, and physical distancing are strictly being observed.

Robinsons Place Manila is the only private company accommodated and considered by the city government to have these services available whereas this initiative is also aligned with the mall’s chosen beneficiary last Christmas season, the displaced jeepney drivers. Since most of our trusted jeepney drivers were greatly affected by the pandemic, they are now deployed and currently plying the roads of Manila as e-trike drivers.

This partnership will benefit not just the commuters but also the transportation sector that has been affected by the current health crisis. Most notably, this is also a big step towards having a more environment-friendly mode of transport.

Viridescent and opulent: Luxury living in Forbes Estates Lipa

As the first luxury subdivision of Robinsons Land Corporation, Forbes Estates is crafted with an attention to both design and function: located in the bustling city of Lipa, Batangas, the 21-hectare enclave is the perfect address for those looking for privacy but don’t want to eschew the conveniences of city living.

Each lot, ranging from 500 square meters and above, provides enough space for those who want to live their lives near nature as the manicured and landscaped roads and spaces provide fresh air and room for movement.

The Forbes Estates Groundbreaking Ceremony. (L-R) Business Development Head AJ De Leon, Assistant Manager for Business Development Avigail Atienza, Senior Legal Counsel Atty. Net Siy, Construction, Planning & Projects Department Head Engr. Bong Dimatulac, Sales Head Ms. Bhing Rivera, Permits and Licenses Head Engr. Marianne Estabillo, Lipa City Councilors Hon. Nilo Catipon, Hon. Oscar Gozos II, and Hon. Mikee Morada, and Business Unit General Manager Armando Racelis III

Ten lots occupy every hectare of the development, suitable for those who want a quieter life but not complete isolation. The architecture is designed by Arch Haus Asia, interiors designed by Chat Fores known for her elegant, artistic, playful, and unconventional design philosophy. Meanwhile, the property’s lush and viridescent landscaping is done by Crearis.

At the center of the enclave sits The Forbes Club, a one-hectare amenity area–a size equal to two football fields placed side-by-side–that serves as the heart of the property. Such was the focus on creating an oasis in the middle of the busy city that 12% of the total selling area is dedicated to amenities.

Future homeowners can satisfy their active lifestyle with jogging paths, a children’s play area, a tennis court, a covered basketball court, and a lap and children’s swimming pool. Those who want to enjoy more of the nature Forbes Estate has to offer can do so with an open lawn perfect for families who want open space for movement or leisurely picnics, a dog park for pawrents who want space for their pets to move around, a mini orchard and greenhouse, and tree-lined walkways.

And because Forbes Estates is located in Lipa City, Batangas, conveniences such as hospitals, malls, and even Metro Manila is within reach. Robinsons Place Lipa, a full-service shopping mall with numerous shopping options, Robinsons anchor merchants (Department Store, Supermarket, etc.), and 3D cinemas are minutes away from the residences (4.7 km from the development). And soon, a Community Lifestyle Center will rise in the property itself: The Veranda Lipa. Future homeowners may look forward to having cafes, casual dining, and stores such as The Marketplace, Robinsons Appliances, and Pet Lovers Centre right at their doorstep.

Condo Living Just Got Better, Thanks to the myRLC Portal

RLC Residences’ web-based homeowners’ portal gives residents greater convenience

by THE JG SUMMIT TEAM

RLC Residences, a residential division brand of Robinsons Land Corporation, recently launched a homeowners’ web-based portal called myRLC that aims to address condominium residents’ daily concerns.

The project is part of the company’s digital transformation program to improve the customer experience of its clients. As it was already in development before the Covid-19 pandemic, myRLC was released in the early days of the lockdown, a timely move that was highly appreciated by RLC Residences condominium dwellers.

Before the release of myRLC, homeowners and renters had to manually accomplish the tasks normally associated with condominium living. Raising inquiries or concerns would require a call or visit to the administration office, while paying bills might entail a trip to the bank.

Through the myRLC homeowner’s portal, residents can now process and accomplish their inquiries—and so much more—from the comfort of their home or office. Using their myRLC account, residents can access billing statements and pay their dues with just a few clicks. They can also easily file forms for gate passes or work permits digitally.

Due to the strict health and safety guidelines implemented in the lockdown, handling home repairs and maintenance can be difficult. That’s why myRLC users have been provided access to Ring Rob Concierge, an online digital concierge, to book professional services, order water refills, and even schedule laundry pick-ups online.

The current pandemic has also underscored the importance of receiving timely news and announcements. myRLC supports this by providing a venue to disseminate community updates and information, bringing the RLC community close together. The portal also features a marketplace that allows enterprising residents to sell or buy items from residents within their community.

myRLC Homeowner’s Portal is currently available to 14 of RLC’s residential properties and is progressively expanding to other developments with the goal of creating better customer experiences and building stronger community connections among RLC residents.

Its launch is part of a grand plan which seeks to benefit all RLC residents in the near future. “We strive to continuously elevate the services we provide in the residential developments. myRLC surely takes us another step towards that very path,” says Henry L. Yap, Business Unit General Manager of RLC Residences. “We are very proud to be able to introduce this especially during a time when staying indoors and avoiding physical contact are very important to our overall health and safety.”

Remembering Mr. John

by The JG Summit Team

A look back on the exceptional life of JG Summit founder John Gokongwei, Jr.

John L. Gokongwei, Jr. (11 August 1926—9 November 2019) devoted much of his 93 extraordinary years in this world to making the lives of all Filipinos better.

Despite his humble entrepreneurial beginnings—he got his start in business at the tender age of 13 by selling peanuts cooked in garlic—he went on to build a diversified business empire composed of companies that boldly challenged the status quo and became major players in their respective fields.

Today, JG Summit holds significant interests in air transportation, banking, food, power, property and hospitality, and petrochemicals. Despite the scope of his empire, his business philosophy, at its heart, was simple: provide consumers with wider choices at a fair price, and always with great service.

This Mall Helps Make Commuting Safer & Greener in Mandaluyong

by Robinsons Land And JG Summit Teams | Sep 4, 2020

Going out—whether to buy necessities, to eat out with friends or loved ones, or simply to get to work—hasn’t been as easy or convenient as it once was since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

To help bring a sense of normalcy back into people’s daily lives, Robinsons Malls has partnered with the Mandaluyong Transport Service Cooperative to address the needs of its shoppers and the commuting public. For those clamoring for better transportation options, a modernized e-jeepney terminal at Forum Robinsons has been set up to serve those commuting along the Forum Robinsons Complex-Kalentong/JRC route in Mandaluyong.

From left: Paul Evaristo, Transport HR; Alvin Tolosa, Transport Operations Manager; Artemio Beluan, Mandaluyong Transport Service Cooperative chairman; Karl Colonia, RLC Mall Operations Manager; and Raymie Delos Reyes, RLC Transport Head.

Trips are scheduled at 30- to 40-minute intervals with operations throughout the week, from Monday to Sunday. Practicing the recommended physical distancing, each e-jeep can accommodate a maximum of 13 passengers. As a safety measure required by the local government, the transport group installed plastic barriers between passengers and requires all passengers to sign their safety manifest for proper contact tracing.

The e-jeeps can pick-up passengers along the way, but drop-offs can only be made at designated jeepney stops to minimize delays and help maintain the smooth flow of traffic.

While commuters stand to benefit greatly from the Robinsons Malls and MTSC partnership, it will also provide a boost to jeepney sector that has been affected by the current health crisis. Notably, the e-jeeps also are a big step forward in promoting a more environment-friendly mode of transport, doing their part to minimize pollution on Metro Manila’s roads.

Bringing Robinsons Malls to Your Doorstep

As the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is still being felt in our cities, Robinsons Malls has made it much easier to buy essential items and food, especially for loyal mall goers who may be understandably wary of leaving the sanctuary of their homes. With their customers’ health, security, and utmost convenience in mind, Robinsons Malls introduces the RPersonal Shopper and RDelivery Programs.

Frontliners: Modern Day Heroes

Robinsons Malls’ security personnel nationwide safeguards the tenant spaces and mall premises during the lockdown.

Frontliner is often associated with soldiers during war but today, the word is used to identify workers who are still performing their duties during community quarantines and lockdowns across the globe. After all, these frontliners are also waging war against the threat of coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.

In the Philippines, when the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was imposed by the government in the whole Luzon island, most of the labor force were ordered to work from home. But for others, this was not an option. Today’s frontliners are composed of medical and healthcare workers, police officers, security guards, cashiers, warehouse staff, maintenance personnel, and others who continue to go to work and clock in despite the danger of the virus.

Hongkong Land partners with Robinsons Land Corporation to reshape Philippine luxury property market

The Philippines’ luxury property market, long concentrated in traditional business enclaves, is expanding to new geographies, reshaping Metro Manila and its environs. Thanks to years of robust economic growth, new growth corridors have emerged within the city, creating new enclaves of prosperity.

This year, the bustling C5 growth corridor – long encircled by some of the country’s most exclusive private estates – welcomes an opulent entrant that would, no doubt, hasten the area’s gentrification. The Velaris Residences by RHK Land Corporation, a joint venture of local real estate expert Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) and international property development leader Hongkong Land (HKL), is a 45-storey premium condominium development that would definitely redefine the eastern skyline with its distinctive concrete-and-glass look, metallic bronze and rose gold façade. Its iconic look is a hallmark of Hongkong Land, which brings its unparalleled expertise and global experience to The Velaris Residences.

A major listed property investment, management and development group, and a member of the Jardine Matheson Group, HKL owns and manages more than 850,000 sq. m. of prime office and luxury retail property in key Asian cities, principally in Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing and Jakarta, as well as high quality residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects under development in cities across Greater China and Southeast Asia. Among its notable projects in the Philippines are premium properties One Roxas Triangle and Two Roxas Triangle in Makati, and Mandani Bay, a premium waterfront development in Cebu.

The Velaris Residences is the first project to be undertaken by RHK, showcasing the two proponents’ shared vision and experience, and is the forerunner of other developments that the joint venture will undertake in the Philippines. It will be launched on February 21, 2020, and is seen to transform the C5 corridor upon its completion in 2024.
