Silliman University’s 6thEntrep Fair at Robinsons Place Dumaguete

As part of Robinsons Land Corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Robinsons Place Dumaguete will be launching Silliman University’s 6thEntrep Corner—a project-partnership that aims to champion the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth and provide a platform to showcase their innovative business ideas.
From August 3 to September 3, 2015, Exploring the Present, Creating the Future as the fair’s theme, all five student-companies of Silliman University composed of BS Entrepreneurship seniors are to sell their own take on classic food favorites. Cuppetite, one of the exhibitors, offers a selection of hearty meals in pastry cups while Rice Bites Co. serves up glutinous rice balls in savory flavors—both convenient and satisfying options for diners on-the-go. Lil Buns Co. gives us miniature versions of the American slider with Hot Buns, allowing customers to try more than one burger in healthy portion sizes. Pan de Laman incorporates some of our well-loved Filipino dishes into the breakfast staple pandesal for a truly filling meal. On the other hand, Chikrito boasts of their freshly-made, Pinoy-style chicken burritos in a variety of dressings as a healthier alternative to the typical red meat-filled burritos in the market.

These young entrepreneurs, despite being students, have all been subjected to the same rigorous screening process as would-be tenants in Robinsons malls. They were critiqued and mentored by industry professionals and are expected to operate with the same dedication as all aspiring start-ups hoping to make it big. In keeping with the project-partnership, Robinsons also gives them the necessary marketing support, exposure, and a prime space at their mall.
